Cat Nail Clippers — Stainless Steel, Non-Slip
Overgrown claws don't just shred the couch — they curl. Left long enough, a cat's claw grows in an arc back toward the paw pad and eventually punctures it. It's painful, it gets infected, and it's entirely preventable with a two-minute trim every couple of weeks.
Most people avoid it because they're scared of hitting the quick. A clipper you can control makes that much less likely.
Why these
- Angled stainless steel blades that cut cleanly instead of crushing and splitting the nail
- Non-slip handle for a steady grip when a cat decides they're done
- Sized for small paws — cats, kittens, rabbits, birds and small dogs
- Compact enough to keep in a drawer rather than a kit you never open
How to find the quick
Press gently on the pad to extend the claw and hold it up to a light. On pale claws the pink wedge is the quick — cut a few millimetres beyond it. On dark claws, take a sliver at a time and stop when the cut face turns from white and chalky to grey. Trim two nails and quit while you're ahead; you don't have to do all eighteen in one sitting.
